Products of Disabled Individuals Act
In 1977, the Oregon legislature passed the "Products of Disabled Individuals" act. This law obliges all state and local governments, school districts and other tax supported political bodies in Oregon, to purchase goods and services from Qualified Rehabilitation Facilities (QRF) when the product or service meets their requirements.
To help identify the QRFs and the products/services they offer, the Qualified Rehabilitation Facility Directory/Procurement Guide has been updated and is available. It describes how to do business with a QRF and provides names, telephone/fax numbers and e-mail addresses for assistance and direction. It provides an index of products and services, so you can check to see if a QRF offers the products or services you are seeking. It lists the QRFs by geographical regions so you can find out which QRFs are in your area.
