Oregon Emergency Management, Military Department, Governor's Office to Sponsor Communications Event
SALEM, Ore. -- Oregon Emergency Management in conjunction with the Oregon Military Department and the Governor's Office will sponsor the Northwest Workshop on Communications (NOW Conference), at Camp Rilea, October 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The purpose of the event is to streamline communication between emergency personnel and familiarize participants with what resources are available during crisis situations.
The Oregon Wireless Interoperability Network, Ares/Ham Radio and 911 Advocates are just a few of the participants who will be on hand to discuss long term plans for the potential of an upcoming severe weather season.
